Coorparoo & Paddington skate parks are outdoor skateparks where we sometimes run private lessons. This skatepark is excellent for aggressive | freestyle inline skaters and rollerskaters keen to ride ramps. With an experienced and certified instructor, learn to pump the transition, turns, stalls, air tricks, spins, safety, skate etiquette, drop-in safely, etc. NB There are risks involved with ramp skating so making sure you are physically fit, already know how to skate backwards confidently and can look over the correct shoulder in a staggered position, can safely jump and bend your knees correctly when landing, be able to perform forwards-to-backwards transitions in both directions of rotation before you enter the skatepark environment. See some of our lesson progression videos here. For multiple paid up-front ramp / skate park lessons (lesson packs) we may consider alternative venues in Brisbane. Paddington Skate Park is the closest option.
(The skater on the right of this old photo is James O'Connor, who founded Rollerblading.com.au Online Magazine and the trick is called an invert / hand plant. This pic was taken at the old Bondi ramp in Sydney). The top image is from the now (unfortunately) closed RampAttak.
